FACTORS OF DIABETES MELLITUS
Abstract: AbstractDiabetes mellitus (DM) is one of the most common non-communicable diseases (NCDs) globally. Diabetes mellitus is also known as prameha or madhumeha. It is most commonly found in many economically developing and newly industrialized countries. Diabetes mellitus is a disorder that affects the body’s ability to make or use insulin. Insulin is a hormone produced in the pancreas that helps transport glucose (blood sugar) from the bloodstream into the cells …

Structural, Morphological, Optical, and Electrical Properties of Sol–Gel Synthesized Bismuth Ferrite Nanoparticles for Photovoltaic Applications
Abstract: Solar cells are a promising renewable energy source, converting solar energy into electrical power. The performance and efficiency of solar cells can be enhanced by incorporating multiferroic materials, which have the potential to improve energy conversion. Bismuth ferrite (BFO) is one such material that has attracted attention for photovoltaic applications due to its bandgap energy, which ranges from 2 eV to 2.7 eV. However, its practical efficiency is currently low …

Impact of Sol–Gel Processing on Dielectric and Energy Storage Properties of BaTiO3 Nanoceramics
Abstract: Barium titanate (BaTiO3) is a widely studied ferroelectric material because of its high dielectric permittivity and strong potential for electrostatic energy storage applications. In this study, BaTiO3 nanoceramics were synthesized using a controlled sol–gel processing route to investigate the influence of synthesis conditions on their dielectric relaxation and energy storage performance. The synthesized powders were calcined and subsequently sintered at temperatures ranging from 1100°C to 1300°C. Structural analysis using X-ray …

Nanostructure-Induced Thermoelectric Enhancement in Bi2Te3 Nanorod Design, Analysis, and Performance Evaluation
Abstract: Thermoelectric materials capable of efficient energy conversion near room temperature are critical for waste heat recovery applications. In this work, solution-grown Bi2Te3 nanorods were synthesized via a trioctylphosphine-assisted thermal decomposition route, and the influence of surfactant-induced nanostructuring on their thermoelectric properties was systematically investigated. Structural analysis using X-ray diffraction and Rietveld refinement confirmed the formation of rhombohedral Bi2Te3 with the emergence of Bi2Te3–BiTe nanocomposites at higher surfactant concentrations. Electron microscopy …

A Study on Chemical Composition in Temperature Sensor
Abstract: As the demand for precision thermal monitoring in extreme environments – such as aerospace propulsion systems and micro-electromechanical systems (MEMS) – continues to escalate, the chemical stability of temperature sensing elements has become a critical focal point. This study investigates the correlation between the chemical composition of thin-film resistance temperature detectors (RTDs) and their operational longevity under thermal cycling. By employing X-ray Photoelectron Spectroscopy (XPS) and Energy-Dispersive X-ray Spectroscopy (EDS), …

Recent Advances in Crystal Defect Engineering of Semiconductor Photocatalysts for Sustainable Environmental and Energy Applications
Abstract: Semiconductor photocatalysis has emerged as one of the most promising green technologies for addressing environmental pollution and global energy challenges through solar energy utilization. Nevertheless, the practical application of conventional semiconductor photocatalysts is often limited by their narrow visible-light absorption, rapid recombination of photogenerated electron–hole pairs, insufficient active sites, and poor charge-transfer efficiency. Defect engineering has recently attracted significant attention as an effective strategy to overcome these limitations by deliberately …
