Project Management Using Topological Sorting
Abstract: Project management is a complex process involving planning, coordinating, and managing resources to accomplish certain goals within specified time frames. Topological sorting is a method used in graph theory to arrange nodes in a Directed Acyclic Graph (DAG) in order of their dependencies. This method can be used to determine the order in which tasks must be accomplished in order to successfully complete the project. Topological sorting helps identify the …

Flexural Analysis of Thick Plates by Hyperbolic Shear Deformation Theory
Abstract: Hyperbolic shear deformation theory is used for the flexural analysis of isotropic plates with various loading cases. The theory takes account effect of transverse shear deformation. The transverse shear strains distribution through the thickness of the plate varies according to hyperbolic cosine function. The transverse shear stress can be obtained directly from the constitutive relations satisfying the shear stress free surface conditions on the top and bottom surfaces of the …

Buckling and vibration of plates by hyperbolic shear deformation theory
Abstract: Hyperbolic shear deformation theory is used to determine the natural frequencies and buckling loads of elastic plates. The theory takes account of transverse shear effects and hyperbolic cosine distribution of the transverse shear strains through the thickness of the plate, hence it does not require shear correction factor. Governing equations are derived from the principle of virtual work. The closed-form solution of a simply supported plate subjected to in-plane loading …

Direct Tuning Method for Optimization of PID and I-PD Parameters
Abstract: Existing work proposed a new and practical approach of tuning of a controller in a closed-loop process plant. The approach is a direct tuning method, termed as Extended Fictitious Reference Iterative Tuning (E-FRIT). Now, we propose to generate the reference model from the closed-loop data, where the order of the reference model is decided based on the process dynamics of the closed-loop data. That makes the model maximum possible fit …
