Analysis of Proximate Composition, Nutritional Contents and Enzymatic Activities of a Local Variety of Betel Leaf from Bangladesh
Abstract: AbstractBetel leaf is a medicinal herb that is commonly used as chewing food item to almost all classes of people in Bangladesh. In the present study, a local variety of betel leaf, Dudhswar, was investigated for analyzing the levels of proximate compositions, vitamins, minerals and carbohydrate metabolizing enzymatic activities. At mature stage, moisture, ash and fiber contents of the betel leaf were 85.40%, 3.15% and 2.11%, respectively. Moisture content decreased …

The Significance and Correlation of Biochemical Parameters-related to Bone Diseases
Abstract: The chemical composition, mass and property of bones are controlled by various factors which include decreased mineral intake or absorption, defects in Vitamin D absorption or activation. Bone diseases are also influenced by growth factors, estrogen, testosterone, insulin, Parathyroid, Thyroid, and Cortisol hormone. Our study handles various human blood and urine samples ranging between the ages of 25–50 years for the above mentioned parameters which include calcium, alkaline phosphatases, phosphorous, …

Effect of Nanofiller on FTIR, DSC and DC Conductivity Studies of PVP Based Polymer Films
Abstract: Nanocomposite polymer films (NCPs) are prepared by doping of potassium acetate (CH3COOK) in polymer of polyvinyl pyrrolidone (PVP) by dispersing aluminium oxide (Al2O3) by different weight percentile ratios using solution cast technique. The obtained NCPs’ films were characterized and reported. Complex analysis between NCs and host polymer was confirmed by FTIR. DSC analysis states the glass transition temperature, Tg=77oC at which the phase transformation changes from glassy to rubbery amorphous …

Influence of Al2O3 Nanofiller on Morphological and Discharge Studies of PVP: CH3COOK Films
Abstract: Nanocomposite polymer (NCP) films were prepared by doping potassium acetate with polyvinyl pyrrolidone (PVP) by complete dispersion of aluminum oxide (Al2O3) with different wt% proportions by using solution-casting method. The acquired NCPs films were characterized systematically. The crystalline structure of the prepared NCPs films was confirmed by XRD. The little agglomeration and grain sizes involved in the films were analyzed by SEM. The energy bandgap values were observed to be …

Ethanolic Extract of Hemigraphis Colorata Leaves: Extraction, Phytochemical Screening, and in Vitro Evaluation of Antiulcer Activity
Abstract: This study aims to extract the phytochemical constituents and in-vitro evaluation of antiulcer activity of Hemigraphis colorata (Acanthaceae) Commonly known as red flameivy, belongs to the family Acanthaceae. Used to advance pee, checkhemorrhage, stopdysentery, treat veneral sicknesses and to recuperate hemorrhoids. Preliminary phytochemical screening revealed the presence of the leaves contain flavonoids, polyphenols, tannins, high potassium and low sodium levels; stem contains saponins and tannins, roots contain flavonoids and polyphenols. …
