Wave Effects on the Performance of Giant Floating Offshore Wind Turbines
Abstract: The performance of a giant floating offshore wind turbine under the effects of wave misalignment has been modelled and simulated. Heave and period of the sea waves have been considered as the most relevant parameters to determine their effects on the power generation of the floating offshore wind turbine. The simulation has been run for two different situations, a non-restriction tilt angle case and a limited tilt angle case. The …

Calculation of Element Stiffness Matrix for Finite Element Analysis of Pile Dynamic Stability
Abstract: For the purpose of analyzing the dynamic stability of pile structures under periodic loads, we have employed the Finite Element Method in this study. The soil modulus was assumed to vary linearly. We have formulated the Mathieu-Hill eigenvalue equation to analyze the stability and instability regions for different static and dynamic load factors. Our research provides valuable insights into the behavior of pile structures when subjected to dynamic loading. The …

Theoretical and Experimental Research of Phenomena Arising in a Vessel Containing the Bubbles Dissolved in the Fluid and the Air above Surface of Fluid under Impact of Vibration in the Acoustic Range both in the Terrestrial and Decreasing Acceleration of Gravity Conditions
Abstract: Under terrestrial conditions, gravitational forces prevent to obtain materials that are homogeneous in distribution components and phases. Strong thermo gravitational unsteady convection leads to instability of crystals growth parameters and limits the possibilities of obtaining the crystals with a high degree of homogeneity and perfect parity structures. The first results of crystals growth in microgravity showed the fundamental possibility of producing more advanced crystals due to the absence of gravitational …

Physical Features of Advanced Monocrystals Growth under Space Flight Conditions
Abstract: In terrestrial conditions, gravitational forces impede the production of materials with uniform distribution of components and phases. Strong thermo gravitational unsteady convection leads to instability of crystal growth parameters and limits the possibility of obtaining crystals with a high degree of homogeneity and structure with ideal parity. The first results of growing crystals under microgravity conditions showed the fundamental possibility of obtaining more perfect crystals due to the absence of …

Kinematic Hardening Trend of Flow Formed Seamless Tubes of Aluminium Alloys used for Aerospace
Abstract: The current trend of making seamless tubes of aluminium alloys is flow forming. The strength, ductility and toughness are the properties of interest for proper alloy design of tubes to withstand combustion pressure from propellants, elevated temperature creep and stress corrosion, especially in marine environments. The final strength of the flow formed tubes is known to control these properties. Therefore, an efficient kinematic flow stress simulator has been formulated to …

To Analyze the Impact of Aerodynamic Devices on Vehicle Speed and its Stability
Abstract: Automotive aerodynamics is the study of the aerodynamics of road vehicles. Its main goals are reducing drag and wind noise, minimizing noise emission, and preventing undesired lift forces and other causes of aerodynamic instability at high speeds. Air is also considered a fluid in this case. For some classes of racing vehicles, it may also be important to produce down force to improve traction and thus cornering abilities. With an …

Electrospun Structures for Dairy and Food Packaging Applications
Abstract: Electrospinning is an electrostatic fiber fabrication technique, in which a nonwoven mat of long fibers can be assembled into a three-dimensional structure due to bending instability of the spinning jet. Owing to its versatile nature and potential for applications in diverse fields including food packaging has been gaining more interest. It is a flexible and easy tool for producing ultrathin sized by applying electrical force. In this process, altering the …

Fractality of Magnetospheric Dynamics: A Diffusion Entropy Approach
Abstract: There are several self-organization processes in physics such as second-order phase transitions and associated scale-invariant phenomena, structure formation in thermodynamic systems away from equilibrium, self-organization of solitons into vortices in magnetized plasma etc. Space plasmas often display very complex behavior which includes multiscale dynamics, spatio-temporal chaos and self-organized criticality. The study of self-organization in magnetospheric plasma and its relation with instabilities is a subject at the forefront of space research …

On the Role of Surface Roughness in Ankle Joint Replacements
Abstract: AbstractResearch efforts in biomechanics have geared towards the long-term effectiveness andsurvival of total joint replacements, because of osteoarthritis causes loosening, instability, wear of articulating components and finally loss of function. Surface roughness of articulatingcomponents significantly influences their tribological behavior. Other factors affecting thewear of articulating surfaces include material and geometrical properties. In this work, thehuman ankle joint is represented by an equivalent ellipsoid-on-plane model to study the effectof surface roughness on …

Perspectives and Recent Advances in Taxol Producing Endophytic Fungal Research
Abstract: Taxol being the most successful anti cancer drug was discovered from the bark of the Taxus brevifolia. Its chemistry, structure and mechanistic action were long back established. There was a Shift of the taxol production from the yew the deforestation of the yew tree was more, and the yield was less. The discovery of the endophytic fungi which produces Taxol, lead the way for the taxol production in the larger …

Review: Prodrug Concept in Drug Design
Abstract: AbstractIn the world of drug discovery and development, prodrugs have become a powerful method for improving biopharmaceutical, physicochemical or pharmacokinetic properties of pharmacologically active agents. The purpose of this review is to provide some types of prodrugs which are bioreversible derivatives of drug molecules that undergo an enzymatic and/or chemical transformation in vivo to release the active parent drug, which can then exert the desired pharmacological effect. The target of …
