Immunoassay and its Biotechnological Relevance
Abstract: Immunoassays are bioanalytical methods to quantify of the analyte (antigen) depending on its reaction with an antibody. These methods are based on a competitive binding reaction between a fixed amount of labeled analyte and a variable amount of unlabelled sample analyte for a limited amount of binding sites on a highly specific anti-analyte antibody. Applications of immunoassays are diagnosis of diseases, therapeutic drug monitoring, clinical pharmacokinetic and bioequivalence studies in …

Simultaneous Effect of Poly-Herbal Drugs on Phagocytes and Myeloperoxidase
Abstract: AbstractSeveral herbal immune modulators are used by the present generation to boost the immunity and prevent disease episode. Fundamentally, the immune modulators boost the phagocytic ability of phagocytes and thereby destroy the antigens. Myeloperoxidase (MPO) produced by the phagocytes is largely implicated to the phagocytic ability of phagocyte. It means, the herbal immune modulators are expected to increase the production of MPO. The excess MPO is known to worsen several …

The Future of Nanomedicine in Veterinary Science
Abstract: Nanomedicine is a new and emerging field that will not only change the way veterinary medicine is practiced but will also enhance present medications and sickness detection. Nanomedicine has been linked to target-specific medication delivery using nanoparticle formulations such as liposomes, SLNs, and fullerenes. It is the use of nanotechnology to develop quicker and more effective disease management solutions by working on a nanoscale and producing target-oriented effects. Certain nanoparticles …
