Hydrodynamic Analysis of Symmetrical Naca Airfoils: A CFD Simulation Approach
Abstract: This study presents a comprehensive numerical investigation of the hydrodynamic characteristics of selected NACA airfoil profiles using advanced computational fluid dynamics (CFD) simulations performed in ANSYS Fluent. The primary objective is to evaluate the fluid–structure interaction behavior of these airfoils when subjected to marine flow conditions relevant to offshore and submerged engineering applications. By modeling the interaction between incompressible fluid flow and various NACA geometries, the study systematically analyzes key …

Comparative Study on Optimal Frequency Control of Interconnected Hybrid Microgrid based mini VPP using PSO and SSA
Abstract: This work proposed the optimal load frequency control of an interconnected hybrid microgrid based mini virtual power plant (VPP) by comparing the responses using particle swarm optimization (PSO) and salp swarm algorithm (SSA). Initially, a hybrid microgrid is proposed with solar PV, wind and diesel based generators, supplying critical loads along with some controllable loads like heat pump and plug-in hybrid electric vehicles. Then it was interconnected to the main …

Genomic Selection for Grain Yield in Wheat Using Machine Learning on DArT Molecular Markers: A Comparative Evaluation Across Multi-Environment Trials
Abstract: Genomic selection (GS) predicts complex quantitative traits directly from genome-wide molecular markers, bypassing the need for extensive phenotypic trials and accelerating plant breeding cycles. We conducted a comparative evaluation of seven regression approaches — ridge regression (the machine-learning equivalent of RR-BLUP), Lasso, Elastic Net, Partial Least Squares, linear Support Vector Regression, Random Forest, and Gradient Boosting — for predicting grain yield from 1,279 Diversity Array Technology (DArT) molecular markers genotyped …

A Factorial Investigation of Hyperparameter Tuning Strategies for Lasso- Based Genomic Prediction
Abstract: In an earlier comparative study of machine-learning methods for genomic prediction of wheat grain yield, we reported a counter-intuitive result: automated nested-cross-validation tuning of the Lasso regularization penalty reduced mean predictive ability relative to a fixed, arbitrarily chosen penalty (mean Pearson r falling from 0.408 to 0.349 across four environments), the opposite of the expected effect of hyperparameter tuning. We hypothesized two possible explanations at the time — high-variance penalty …

A Review on Internet of Things and its Applications
Abstract: AbstractWe are entering a new age of technology in computing, i.e. From the Internet of Things (IoT). In the cloud, the IoT is a kind of universal global neural network that links different things. In order to address this new challenge, the IoT is an intelligently connected device and system consisting of smart machines that interact and communicate with other machines, environments, objects and infrastructures, and Radio Frequency Identification (RFID) …

Improvement of Voltage Profile and Loss Reduction using Optimized Soft Computing Based Capacitor Placement Methodology
Abstract: Significant exploration has been done on the arrangement of ideal capacitor arranging in the appropriation frameworks for the assignments of power factor adjustment, voltage profile improvement and misfortune decrease. Particularly, mechanical plant with variable load conditions has huge inductive loads and its power factor is exceptionally poor. These ventures advantage most capacitor banks. This bank gives improved power factor, expanded voltage level on the load and lessen the electric service …
