Investigation on the Benefits of Steam Adsorption and Distribution during Cyclic Steam Injection to Improve Oil Recovery - FNE Case Study, Sudan
Abstract: One of the main types of Enhanced Oil Recovery (EOR) methods is thermal stimulation method which is an increasingly common method of extracting heavy oil. there are different forms of the technology of thermal method Cyclic steam stimulation, Steam flooding and In-situ combustion “Fire flooding” are commonly applied to oil reservoirs, which are relatively shallow very viscous oil at the reservoir temperature, the most widely used steam injection methods for …

Performance of Structure with Fixed Base and Lead Rubber Bearing: Review
Abstract: Base Isolation approach is the most normally used method to defend a shape from earthquake. The thinking in the back of this approach is to detach the superstructure from floor with the aid of introducing bendy isolators between basis and superstructure. These isolators soak up electricity or vibrations and shield shape from an earthquake. Since the last fifteen years, the base isolation technique has been regarded as one of the …

A Comprehensive Examination of Cloudflare's IP-based Distributed Denial of Service Mitigation
Abstract: This study dives deep into the world of DDoS (Distributed Denial of Service) attack prevention, with a keen focus on Cloudflare. As a powerhouse in the cybersecurity world, Cloudflare uses smart tactics, like acting as a reverse proxy, to keep online services safe from DDoS attacks. What does Cloudflare do exactly? It acts as a bouncer, checking all incoming server traffic to weed out harmful requests. This unique position lets …

RURAL ROAD PAVEMENT SUBGRADE AND SUBBASE IMPROVEMENT USING LIME, FLY ASH AND GEOSYNTHETICS IN SOUTH GUJARAT REGION
Abstract: South Gujarat region comprises of Narmada, Surat, Tapi, Navsari, Valsad and Dang districts. The majority of the region has soil type varying from clayey to clay loam type soil. Also, the average annual rainfall is more than 1500 mm in the region. Some parts of Surat, Navsari and Valsad districts are in coastal region and have soft and compressible clayey soil. Under this environmental scenario of soil, climate and increasing …

Evaluation of Physicomechanical and Biodestructible Properties of Polyethylene-based Composite Sheets for Packaging Application
Abstract: Worldwide, the packaging market has seen steady growth and plastic ingredients have become distinct. Plastic is an important part of daily life and is used for a variety of purposes. Low-density polyethylene (LDPE) plastic is one of the greatest influential packaging ingredients in today's society. When polyethylene plastic products are out of use, they are thrown away like ordinary garbage. The main disadvantage is that they are not biodegradable, and …

Standardization of Value Added Recipes with Millet Milk Powder
Abstract: Millets are one of the oldest foods known to humans and possibly the first cereal grain to be used for domestic purpose. Millet called as “Miracle Grains” are highly nutritious and non-glutinous. These millets are soothing and easy to digest, least allergenic and lower the risk of diabetes [1]. It is an important food in many developing countries because of its ability to grow under diverse weather conditions such as …

Designing, Constructing and Testing a 90 cm Parabolic Satellite Dish Using Fiberglass Material
Abstract: In this paper, we designed and constructed a parabolic satellite dish using fiberglass material for Ku-band reception that would be able to receive stations from any transponder focused on it which may be coded or non-coded stations. To achieve this objective, a parabolic graph was plotted using the geometry calculations of a parabola (i.e., the axis of asymmetry against its directrix). From this calculation and graph, the form-work was obtained …

Photo-degradation in Nanocrystalline Porous Silicon
Abstract: AbstractWe study the metastabilities created by light soaking (LS) in nanocrystalline porous silicon (nc-PSi), prepared by the electrochemical anodization technique. At first sight, these appear similar to the effects of LS observed in hydrogenated amorphous silicon (a-Si:H) prepared by PECVD (Plasma-enhanced chemical vapor deposition) method. In nc-PSi, the ESR (Electron Spin Resonance) and Raman results indicate the presence of a-Si:H. This suggests a-Si:H as a possible cause of photo-degradation in …

Knowledge, Attitude and Practices Towards Insulin Therapy Among Diabetic Patients in Jimma University Specialized Hospital, Southwest Ethiopia
Abstract: Insulin is mandatory for the treatment of type 1 diabetes mellitus (DM) and it may also be required for other types of DM as the disease progresses. Once started patients have to take the drug for lifelong and they face many problems such as problems of injections, storage of insulin, dose and how to take the injection. The aim of this study was, therefore, to assess the knowledge, attitude and …
