Advancements in Multiple-Input DC–DC Converters for Hybrid Renewable Energy Systems: Topologies, Control Strategies, and Applications
Abstract: Multiple-input DC to DC converters (MICs) are essential components in hybrid energy systems, enabling efficient management of diverse energy inputs from renewable sources such as solar photovoltaic (PV) panels and wind turbines. These converters facilitate the seamless integration of variable power outputs, addressing the intermittent nature of renewable energy through advanced power electronics. This paper provides a comprehensive review of the topologies, control strategies, and applications of MICs within renewable …

Deploying Fuzzy Logic for Self-Tuning Regulator Design for Motion Control in Modern Electrical Machines
Abstract: Modern electrical machines require sophisticated motion control systems capable of adapting to varying operating conditions, load disturbances, and parameter uncertainties. Traditional self-tuning regulators (STR) based on classical control theory often struggle with nonlinearities, time-varying dynamics, and complex operational environments characteristic of contemporary electric drives. This article presents a comprehensive framework for deploying fuzzy logic in self-tuning regulator design to address these challenges in motion control applications. Fuzzy logic controllers leverage …

Lyapunov-Stable Adaptive Fractional-Order Interval Type-2 Fuzzy Control for Robust Anti-Lock Braking Under Uncertain Road Adhesion Conditions
Abstract: This paper proposes a Lyapunov-stable Adaptive Fractional-Order Interval Type-2 Fuzzy Logic Controller (FO-IT2FLC) for robust anti-lock braking system (ABS) control under nonlinear vehicle dynamics and uncertain road adhesion conditions. The proposed framework integrates fractional-order error dynamics to capture memory-dependent tire–road interaction, interval Type-2 fuzzy inference to model uncertainty via footprint-of-uncertainty representation, and a Lyapunov-based adaptive learning mechanism for real-time parameter tuning. A rigorous stability proof guarantees boundedness of all closed-loop …

A study on Controlling Artificial Heart
Abstract: The artificial heart has moved from a visionary concept to a clinically viable organreplacement technology, yet its longterm success hinges on the sophistication of its control architecture. This paper presents a comprehensive investigation of closedloop control strategies that enable an artificial heart to mimic the dynamic, beattobeat adaptability of its biological counterpart. We first construct a highfidelity cardiovascular model that integrates ventricular elastance, systemic and pulmonary vascular compliance, and realtime …

Enhancing Power Quality and Harmonics Control via Integration of PV, Wind, and Battery Systems with Three-level Inverter in DC Micro grid Management
Abstract: The primary goal of this research is to develop a multi-level inverter-based energy management approach for a smart DC-micro grid. An electric micro grid is created in this project by combining photovoltaic (PV), wind, and batteries. Solar and wind power can be efficiently extracted, and the quality of power can be improved by using FOPID control for source-side converters (SSC) and load-side converters controlled by multilevel inverters. To make the …
