Medically Important Hemiptera: Bed Bugs and Kissing Bugs in Human Health.
Abstract: Bed bugs (family Cimicidae) and kissing bugs (subfamily Triatominae) are hematophagous Hemiptera of major medical importance, yet they differ markedly in their public health impact. Bed bugs have resurged globally over the past three decades, with infestations reported from homes, multi-unit housing, hotels, transportation, and healthcare facilities in both high and low-income settings. They are not established biological vectors of human pathogens, but their bites cause pruritic papules, urticarial, and …

A Study to Evaluate the Effectiveness of Sensory Stimulation Program (SSP) on Motor Function (MF) and Verbal Response (VR) Among Patients with Stroke in ICU of Selected Hospitals at Salem
Abstract: Introduction: Stroke is a medical emergency and can cause permanent neurological damage, complications and death. Objectives: (1)To develop and validate a Sensory Stimulation Program aimed at enhancing motor function (M.F) and vital signs recovery (V.R) in stroke patients. (2)To evaluate and compare the pre-test and post-test scores of M.F and V.R in stroke patients receiving routine nursing care. (3)To assess and compare the pre-test and post-test scores of M.F and …

In vivo Modulatory Effect of Clerodendrum Splendens (Glory Blossom) in Aluminum Induced Alzheimer Diseases and Lonchocarpus Sericeus in Rotenone Induced Parkinson’s Disease on Na+/K+ Atpase (Sodium Pump) in the Cerebral Tissues of Male Albino Wister Rats
Abstract: Elegant research has shown that plants are useful for both curative and preventive purpose on the humans populous. Prevalent among diseases associated with humans are neurological diseases which affect a large sector of the population especially the elderly. The most common neurological diseases are Parkinson and Alzheimer disease which affect a large sector of the brain and also cause an imbalance in brain electrolyte. Among such electrolytic mechanisms of the …

Parameter Identification of Vibrating MIMO Mass-Spring-Damper Mechanical Systems with Coulomb Friction
Abstract: This study presents a time-domain method for identifying parameters in multi-degree-of-freedom (DOF) linear mass-spring-damper systems that include Coulomb friction, where the friction coefficient varies within a limited range, using measurements of position and control force. For mass identification in single-degree-of-freedom (DOF) vibrating mechanical systems with stiffness and no damping but Coulomb friction, the friction term is eliminated by first derivative processing. In addition, the identification of the coefficient of friction …
