BARRIERS IN IMPLEMENTATION OF SAFETY AT WORKSITE

Abstract

This reviewed paper describes the common barriers which are encountered during the implementation ofsafety at worksite i.e. especially at construction site. In order to implement safety at worksite it isnecessary to implement workplace safety program for protection of employees and their assets .Itis done through in following ways.1) Company safety policy should be properly communicated betweenthe workers and employees. 2) Assessment of hazards and risks in the premises. 3) Focuses yourattention towards employee education. 4) There should be written document regarding health andsafety responsibilities. Theoretical analysis of literature has found certain Barriers which occur during theimplementation of safety. It includes 1) Employees attitude towards safety 2) Responsibilities of top tobottom management system and employees 3) Training 4) Improvement in organization structure.The integration of ergonomics hazards like musculoskeletal disorder helps us to overcome the barrierswhich are found during the implementation of safety.Keywords: Barriers, Training, Employees, Management, Safety policy
