Abstract

The various ancient systems like Unani, Ayurveda and Siddha use many plant species to treat totally different ailments. In treatment of many diseases the Unani system of medicine has been practiced since ancient times. Ancient medicine takes a complete approach when the physical, spiritual, and most frequently social well-being of patients is treated. Thus, the medicinal value of an herbal product could also be closely associated with its organic process and psychological aspects. Zanjabeel plays a crucial role within the development of potent therapeutic agents. It is estimated that between 70% and 95% of citizens in an extremely majority of developing countries use ancient medication for the management of health and as primary health care to handle their healthcare wants and concerns. In ancient medicine, Zanjabeel (Zingiber officinale) may be a very terribly far-famed drug that is widely utilized in world as spice moreover as drug. The aim of this article text is reviewing the Zanjabeel on the concept of explanation in Unani system of medicine and to discuss scientific studies.
