Geospatial Intervention in Mapping of Solar PV Installations using Satellite Imagery

Abstract

This paper explains the role of remote sensing and geographic information systems in mapping the solar PV installations. This part of work also explains the sources needed for mapping the solar PV installations on land. Some of the models needed for automatic extraction of the PV systems were discussed in this paper. The basic algorithms needed for effective machine learning through training samples is explained in this part of literature.
