Use of Sodium Channel Blocker Injection in the Management of Low Back Pain as a Stop Gap During Covid Pandemic—Our Experience

Abstract

Low back is a common symptom we encounter in the out patient department. The COVID pandemic brought about new difficulties in the form of lack of operating tables and delay in surgical intervention. We explored the possibility of a new method to alleviate the pain, and which was consistent with the outcome. The sodium channel blocker injection brought about immediate pain relief and improved the quality of life in all our patients and was an essential tool that functioned as a stop gap during the COVID pandemic.
