Abstract

Background: Recently, Carbon Monoxide poisoning is diagnosed medicolegally depended on poison analytic chemistry and not in biochemical method. Methods: This essay was confirmed the activation change of LAP in Carbon Monoxide poisoning. The LAP activation level was higher than normal in a death with CO poisoning. Because of the Carbon Monoxide poisoning, patients were admitted to the hospital and were cured during a certain period of time. After that, the cause of death was found based on the serum LAP activation level in the cases of sudden death. Result: Serum LAP activation level was from 60U/L to 190 U/L and 96.52±1.24 U/L in average. After poisoning, the LAP level was 150.5±1.24/L in 7-15 days, and 90.32±1.04U/L in 21-30 days. Conclusion: If the patient was suddenly dead after treatment, the CO poisoning could be diagnosed by Leucine aminopeptidase activation level.
