Abstract

Our world is now a digital one, where smartphones and other electronic devices have become an inseparable part of our daily routine. In today's digital world, it is hard to imagine a life without smartphones and other technological devices. However, the increasing reliance on these devices has given rise to a prevalent issue known as Nomophobia, or the fear of being without a mobile phone. This phenomenon has become particularly prevalent among college students, who often engage in activities such as messaging, social media, and gaming on their smartphones. The heavy reliance on electronic devices has led to a wide range of negative impacts on both physical and mental health. From a physical standpoint, excessive smartphone use can lead to issues such as insomnia and ADH symptoms. Moreover, it has also been found to have a detrimental impact on academic performance. This study sheds light on the negative impacts of nomophobia and highlights the potential solutions that can be implemented to mitigate its harmful effects.
