Abstract

The braking system is arguably the most important system in any automobile. The ultrasonicwave emitter is provided in front portion of the car, producing and emitting ultrasonic wavesin a predetermined distance in front of the car. Ultrasonic wave receiver is also provided infront portion of the car, receiving the reflected ultrasonic wave signal from the obstacle. However, the external damage to the vehicle cannot be prevented and its repair cost may beexpensive. In this paper, we actually show possible use of disengagement of accelerationpedal in this system. This helps the driver to operate at right time. Even if driver pressesacceleration pedal vehicle won’t be accelerated and prevent collision of vehicle. This solvesthe problem of safety in case the accelerator pedal is pressed when the vehicle is expected tobrake. The percentage decrease (approximately 40%) in the impact force is considerableenough to incorporate some changes in the existing braking system.Cite this ArticleGandhi P.S., C.S.Gandhi, A.B.Ghali,S.B.Garkar, A.M.Honkarpe,V.V.Avhad.
