Abstract

Gingival recession refers to the downward movement of the marginal gingiva from its typical location on the tooth crown to levels along the root surface beyond the cemento-enamel junction. Miller Class I and Class II recession are those for which the prognosis and chances of clinical success is greatest, and numerous evidences in the existing literature reports that the Coronally Advanced Flap (CAF) based procedure along with autologous subepithelial connective tissue grafts (SCTG) are considered as the gold standard for achieving complete root coverage SCTG for the treatment of gingival recession, usually calls for a larger volume of donor connective tissue which usually makes the surgical procedure more invasive. The current case reports introduce a novel, minimally invasive approach applicable for both isolated and multiple recession defects approach referred to as vestibular incision subperiosteal tunnel access (VISTA) technique with and without autologous PRF Healing was satisfactory in both the cases and a complete root coverage was achieved at the treated site which remained stable at the 3rd postoperative follow-up.
