Abstract

AbstractThe experiment was conducted in the experimental field of Department of Horticulture, Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujibur Rahman Agricultural University, Gazipur-1706 from November 2019 to May 2020. In the experiment, foliar spray with GA3 at 150 (T1), 200 (T2) and 250 ppm (T3), KNO3 at 1% (T4) and 2% (T5), Ca (NO3) at 1% (T6) and 2% (T7) was done at 30, 45 and 60 DAP to observe corm yield of gladiolus. The experiment was laid out in a Randomized Complete Block Design (RCBD) with three replications. Results revealed that the highest number of corms (2.1), cormels (8.3) and cormlets (172.8) per hill and diameter of the largest corm (5.2 cm) was obtained from the treatment of KNO3 at 2% as foliar spray. The maximum weight of corm (91.6 g), cormel (65.4 g) and cormlet (68.5 g) was recorded from KNO3 at 2% as foliar spray. Therefore, having higher amount of corm, cormels and cormlets, KNO3 at 2% and may be used
