Idealising Step Change Towards Achieving Value for Money in Niger Delta’s Highway Infrastructure Delivery
Abstract: This paper idealises step changes proffered, given the repeated calls, to ensure value for money in highway infrastructure investment. The study reiterates the need for highway agencies to adequately evaluate the geomorphology of the Niger Delta, as a prerequisite to the cost-effective delivery of highway infrastructure in the region. Such prescriptive measures necessary to entrench geotechnical principles for the efficient development in road infrastructure have been identified from best practices …

Study of Literature on Different Girder Bridges
Abstract: Bridge design and construction now a day’s worldwide importance. Design of bridges help to improve the road network. Bridges are the key elements in any road network and use of prestress girder type bridges gaining popularity in bridge engineering because of its serviceability, economy, and structure efficiency. Girder bridge have different types and different software’s are using for the bridges. Bridges not only assist in the flow of intervening vehicles …

Detail study on circular runway
Abstract: The paper presents the new concept for future air terminal traffic activity. This runway is utilized for take-off and land from any direction, hence offering the remarkable trademark that the runway can be utilized under any wind condition through the opportunities for an airplane to work consistently with headwind during take-off and landing. Besides, it will permit airplane to abbreviate their worldwide direction through upgraded take off and appearance courses …

Effects of non-motorized vehicle on speed-density relationship of an urban intersection
Abstract: The study investigated the influence of non-motorized vehicle (NMV) in the heterogeneous traffic in terms of speed–density (v-k) relationship. The traffic of a busy intersection of Dhaka city was studied, conducted traffic survey, and modelled using VISSIM software. Three traffic scenarios, existing traffic (M1), 20% increase of NMV (M2) and 50% increase of NMV (M3) were simulated. Then, the dataset was used to model the linear v-k relationship. The v-k …

Evaluation of Effect of Sugar Cane Bagasse Ash Modified Cold Bituminous Emulsified Mix
Abstract: Initiatives are emerging worldwide to strike an equilibrium between the developments in infrastructure and control of environmental contamination by reusing wastes. About 70 % of the Indian population depends on agriculture, and abundant agricultural waste is generated each year. The use of these wastes in pavement construction provides a suitable solution to some of the ecological concerns and troubles associated with waste management. Sugarcane Bagasse Ash (SCBA) is a waste …
