Experimental Investigation on Two Lift Cement Concrete Pavement
Abstract: Rigid pavement construction is promoting now a days due to its durablilitycriteria.Cost of fresh aggregate is 30-35% more than recycled aggregate which causes increase of overall cost of pavementthustwo lift pavement has great potential as a sustainable paving solution. The main objective of this study is to use recycled aggregate in concrete pavement which reduced overall cost of the pavement.Sincenatural aggregate scarcity is increasing day by day.Generally homogenous layer of concrete …

Assessment of Deformation under Repeated Cracking-Healing Cycles of Asphalt Concrete
Abstract: The Asphalt concrete wearing course is subjected to direct tyre loading and practices distresses such as microcracks. However, asphalt pavement is known to exhibit self-healing ability of microcracks under repeated loading with rest period and controlled environment. In this work, the permanent deformation of the wearing course was assessed under repeated cracking and healing cycles. Asphalt concrete specimens of 100 mm diameter and 63 mm height have been prepared with …

Comparative study of quicklime and cement (void fillers) on durability of asphalt pavement wearing course under submerged conditions
Abstract: ABSTRACTThis study adopts an experimental approach using the Marshall Mix design method to investigate the effect of quicklime, and cement in the enhancement of asphalt pavement wearing course under submergence in terms of strength and durability. The results gotten showed that strength and durability properties such as Retained stability, First Durability Index (FDI) and Second Durability Index(SDI) were negatively affected by moisture for mixes without modifiers, while the mixes modified …

Determining Factor Influencing Public Acceptance in Congestion Pricing
Abstract: Congestion pricing is a powerful tool for traffic demand management, which is used to divert traffic by imposing economic obstruction to the traveler. Whereas, Implementation of Congestion pricing is exaggerated issue. There are several barriers arise before the implementation of congestion pricing which influences Public attitude toward pricing policy. The Major problem associated with Congestion pricing is public acceptance, which is a crucial factor for the successful implementation of pricing …

Time Saving in Construction Road Using Prestressed Precast Concrete Pavement
Abstract: In this paper the results of laboratory investigation preceding realization of continuous pre stressed concrete pavement .to minimize the effect of traffic congestion ,a method with the speedy construction and lower user impact cost is needed. This paper introduces relatively new pavement construction method which developed in united state .which is called as pre stressed precast concrete pavement(PPCP).PPCP is comparatively sustainable and economical as compare to cement concrete pavement. Their …
