Improved Low Confinement Photonic Crystal Fiber with Ultra Flattened Dispersion
Abstract: AbstractIn this study, to obtain lower value of dispersion with flatness for wideband, more complicated design will be proposed with multiple-hole diameter and shapes. Confinement loss is also reduced by increasing the number of rings. We optimized cladding region in which there are holes of different diameter and shapes. Numerical investigation shows that value of confinement loss is very low -0.00116 dB/Km and ultra-flat dispersion over wideband at operating frequency …

A Study on Different Optical OFDM using VLC System
Abstract: AbstractThe main goal of the paper is to preview the work that has already been carried out associated with optical OFDM in the VLC system. Different optical OFDM techniques such as direct-current biased optical OFDM (DCO-OFDM), asymmetrical clipped optical ofdm (ACO-OFDM) and many others are discussed. Nowadays, in conversation systems Visible Light Communication (VLC) plays a major role in the communication field. In the present paper, an overview on transmission …

Simulation of Electric Field Induced by Electromagnetic Radiation on Spherical Nanoparticles
Abstract: AbstractIn this article, the interaction of light and matter of nanoparticles is simulated for the electric field induced by electromagnetic radiation on spherical nanoparticles. The absorption, scattering and extinction efficiencies are demonstrated for initial wavelength of the incident of light from 300 nm to the final wavelength at 900 nm range for the silver material of 250 nm (spherical nanoparticles) radius with 1.0 refractive index. These optical properties vary according …

Comparative Study of MEH-PPV, Alq3 and P3HT based OLEDs
Abstract: AbstractElectroluminescence behavior of MEH-PPV (Poly [2-methoxy-5-(2’-ethyl-hexoxy)-1, 4 phenylenevinylene]), Alq3 (Tris (8-hydroxyquinolinato) aluminium) and P3HT as the emissive layer has been investigated in the organic light emitting diode (OLED). 2D numerical simulations have been performed using finite element method from device simulation software ALTLAS from Silvaco Inc. Effect of doping concentration and thickness of active layer on device performance has been studied. Keywords: OLED, numerical simulation, P3HT, MEH-PPV, Alq3Cite this ArticleShilpi Raj, …

Performance Comparison of FBG as Dispersion Compensator with Different Apodization in an Optical Fiber Link
Abstract: AbstractNowadays, optical communication is a popular technique to transmit the data. In daily life, we share our useful data by using optical network but dispersion is the main performance limiting factor. However, the compensation of dispersion by dispersion compensating fiber (DCF) and fiber Bragg grating (FBG) can boost the system significantly. This proposed work investigates and analyzes the performance of optical transmission system at 1550 nm using FBG as dispersion …
