Animal/Object Recognition and Monitoring
Abstract: This study focuses on teaching a computer to identify leopards in images through a process called Object Detection and Image Recognition. We created a special set of pictures (dataset) containing thousands of leopard images. Using a small camera module called ESP32 CAM, we trained the computer to recognize leopards by comparing the images it captures with the ones in the dataset. The results were obtained using a Convolutional Neural Network …

Design and Fabrication of Tapered Optical Fiber Related Devices
Abstract: By joining conical single-mode fibers, a Mach-Zehnder interferometer with a refractive index (RI) sensor was produced. Sensors were made directly from conical SMFs using a Vytran engine. Compared to the single-taper sensor, the dual-taper sensor turned out to be more efficient. With a 10mm gap between the two taper sites in the dual-taper sensor arrangement, the RI fluctuation was quite noticeable. The principles underlying the design and fabrication of tapered …

AI Evaluator – Automated Examination Evaluation
Abstract: An AI system for automated exam grading is proposed. It tackles inefficiencies in human evaluation. The system uses TrOCR for accurate handwritten text recognition and a GPT model trained on graded responses for evaluation. This approach offers efficiency and reduced bias, but challenges remain. Evaluating open-ended questions and ensuring explainability require further development. It starts by looking at how AI technologies, such as machine learning, deep learning, and natural language …

ColorCraft: Using Psychology to Create Meaningful Interior Designs
Abstract: This research delves into the crucial role of color psychology in interior design, which profoundly influences the atmosphere, mood, and perception of a space. By scrutinizing the connection between color and psychology, designers can effectively craft environments that evoke desired emotions and behaviors in occupants. The paper thoroughly examines existing literature on color psychology, elucidating how different colors provoke specific emotional and physiological reactions. It also explores the cultural and …

Multi-factor Fused Lightpath QoT Prediction for Optical Networks: A Multiple Reservoir Analysis Strategy
Abstract: Investigating the channel quality of transmission (QoT) in-depth is crucial for responsive and instant transparent optical network management. However, current lightpath QoT predictions are devoted to univariate modeling. Due to the QoT metrics complicated time-varying process and the existing effects of inter-channel factors, despite the use of an advanced and efficient echo state network (ESN), it is difficult to obtain ideal results in univariate prediction mode. Thus, this paper considers …
