Short Report on Surface-driven Microfluidic Flow of Dyed Ethanol in Microchannel Bend Fabricated by Optically Transparent Polymer in Cleanroom Environment
Abstract: In this experimental work, a single microchannel bend is fabricated by maskless lithography, hot embossing lithography and direct bonding technique. Polymethylmethacrylate (PMMA) is the chosen optically transparent polymeric material to fabricate the microchannel bend inside the cleanroom laboratory. Dyed ethanol is prepared as working liquid. CMOS camera is used to record the surface-driven capillary flow of dyed ethanol in the fabricated microchannel bend. Effect of centrifugal force on surface-driven capillary …

Simulation of Loss Modulus in Retreaded Truck Tire Rubber During Dynamic Condition
Abstract: Retreaded truck tire plays important role in reducing transport cost without compromisingquality of performance of tire, but It becomes necessary to study it from safety point of view. Ifwe can predict the degrading properties of this tire rubber, this will safeguard the life ofpassenger and material also. In this paper, we are defining the rubber properties of retreadedtire at belt edge area. The hyperelastic constants are found out by testing …

Measurement of Fuel Concentration using Portable Optical Platform
Abstract: The proposed optical platform is useful for measurement of concentration in the fuel, particularly petrol and diesel. The measurement of fuel adulteration is most important need asit generates many hazardous effects on environment as well as on the living things. Differentvenders of fuel may mix kerosene or any similar kind of liquid into the petrol and diesel.Adulterated fuel is main cause of air pollution as well as it can be hazardous …

Controlling Movement of Vehicle Using Ultrasonic Sensor
Abstract: At the present years, the collisions are majorly caused by interruption of the driver to hit the brake or by the negligence by the driver. The present work aims to develop a model system that recommend an automatic braking in vehicle, which is system can operate spontaneouslywith the help of high profile sensors based on relay circuit and some changes in traditional braking system and apply the brake automatically in …

Investigating Effect of Geometrical Parameters on Negative Poisson’s Ratio of S-shaped Auxetic Structure
Abstract: Auxetic material is developed to trim down weight and upsurge strength of the matter, whichleads to negative Poisson’s ratio. Current research is focused on auxetic strength, hence in thiswork parametric influence of S-shaped unit cell on Poisson’s ratio is explored and results arecompared with finite element analysis. Parameters like Angle, Thickness and Aspect ratio arecompared and concluded that they have individual significance on Poisson’s ratio. TheS-shaped auxetic structure is analysed …
