Algorithm for Selecting Signal Processing Technique in Vibration Based Condition Monitoring System
Abstract: In the sound and vibration analysis, dynamic data acquisition plays important role. Dynamic data acquisition not only means acquire data but analyse it according to the complexity of the signals generating from the source of vibration. Accuracy of result depends upon the accuracy with which the signal processing technique is selected. In present work, a comprehensive condition monitoring algorithm is proposed. This algorithm classify the signal according to its behavior …

Optimization of Crankshaft Offset to Design Crank Slider Mechanism with Improved Power Transmission Efficiency
Abstract: Increasing consumption and depleting reserve of the petroleum fuel calls for further improvement in the efficiency of internal combustion (IC) engines. Ensuring maximum piston effort and its efficient transmission to the crankshaft are the two major factors governing the efficiency of an IC engine. A major challenge in designing an IC engine is the poor transmission efficiency of crank slider mechanism at the time of peak pressure. An analysis made …

Evaluation of Coefficient of Performance of Water– Carrol Vapor Absorption Refrigeration System Using Artificial Neural Network approach
Abstract: Normal 0 false false false EN-US X-NONE X-NONE The aim of this work is to apply expert system methods, like artificial neural network (ANN), for evaluating the coefficient of performance (COP) of water-carrol (lithium bromide-ethylene glycol)-based vapor absorption refrigeration system. Theoretical performance analysis of vapor absorption refrigeration system is too complex since very tedious second-order mathematical differential equations are used. In order to simplify this complex process, artificial neural networks …

Effect of Bulk Density of Developed Agglomerated Fluxes on Flux Consumption and Penetration during Submerged Arc Welding
Abstract: This paper presents the results of an experimental study correlating the bulk density of agglomerated fluxes during submerged arc welding on weld penetration and flux consumption. The basic constituents of these fluxes are CaO, SiO2, and Al2O3. Minor additions of MgO, MnO, CaF2, NiO and Fe-Cr are mixed in the basic constituents for improving techno-mechanical and physical properties of the weld metal. Keywords: Submerged arc welding, agglomerated flux, flux consumption, weld …
