Drug Use Evaluation of Iron with Folic Acid During Pregnancy at Alem Ketema Enat Hospital, North shoa, Amhara, Ethiopia
Abstract: Drug use evaluation (DUE) is the ongoing, systematic and criteria-based program of medicine evaluations that will ensure appropriate medicines use. Correct dosage of iron with folic acid (IFA) is recommended by WHO to prevent iron deficiency anemia during pregnancy. Even if it affects populations, pregnant mothers are prone to develop anemia. Iron deficiency anemia contributes for 95% of anemia during pregnancy reflecting the need for iron to pregnant women. Foliatesupplementation …

Design Approach based Formulation of Deformable Liposomes and their In vitro Skin Permeation
Abstract: Leukemia is the common cause of disease and its worldwide incidence is increasing. Cytarabine pyrimidine nucleoside analogs most widely used for the treatment of leukemia, but the major obstacles to existing treatments are adverse effect and poor patient’s compliances. To provide sustained drug release with minimum side effects and to develop more patients affable formulation, the authors investigated the transdermal delivery of cytarabine through deformable liposomes. The present work demonstrated …

Marine Supplements and Depression: A Critique
Abstract: Depression is the common cold of psychiatric illness. It affects millions of people to varying degrees. It has a predisposition to attack its ‘victims’ without any apparent reason, albeit current research supports the credo that complex psychological, environmental, and biochemical changes could trigger and also ‘engender,’ the initial mood swing. Conventional medications do not provide long-lasting results; they are also not free of side-effects in the long run. Marine dietary …

Development and Validation of Spectrophotometric and Colorimetric Method for the Determination of Ritonavir in its Bulk and Pharmaceutical Dosage Form
Abstract: A straightforward, exact, precise and sensitive UV spectrophotometric assay technique and a basic and sensitive colorimetric assay method have been created and validated for the quantitative estimation of Ritonavir from bulk drug and tablet formulations. UV spectrophotometric strategy which includes the assurance of Ritonavir in bulk medication and pharmaceutical dosage forms and has an assimilation greatest at 240 nm in methanol. The Beer's law was obeyed over the concentration range …

Interaction of Cardiotoxin with Calmodulin and its EF Hand Peptides
Abstract: Calmodulin is a ubiquitous protein having EF hand peptide(helix-loop-helix sstructural domain), which is found in all the eukaryotic cells. Calmodulin functions as a multipurpose intracellular receptor, mediating much calcium regulated processes and undergoes conformational change upon binding to calcium. These activated calmodul in then bind to a number of different target proteins, including a family of calcium/calmodul in-dependent protein kinases which then phosphorylatedserine’s or threnodies on other proteins. Cardiotoxin, snake …
