A Review on Damage Inspection Techniques in Composite Structures
Abstract: Damage occurred in structures or components can induce changes in its local and globalproperties. These changes in properties can affect the performance of component, andsometimes, it leads to a catastrophic failure. Hence, components/structures especiallycomposites need to be inspected regularly for damage. With extensive research in sensors anddata processing techniques various damage inspection techniques for composites are evolved.Damage inspection is part of Structural Health Monitoring (SHM) process. The paper providesa review …

Design and Development of Dual Head Filling and Crimping Machine
Abstract: Automation has changed the working scenario all over the globe. It has increased productivityand efficiency while decreasing the time needed by conventional methods. The shift towardsautomation has resulted in more production in less time. But in countries like Indiaimplementing automation in small scale industries is both complex and costly. This paperproposes a semi-automatic machine which can be used for filling and crimping operation of aperfume bottle. The idea is to …

Experimental Analysis of Rectangular and Circular Microstrip Patch Antenna with Superstrates
Abstract: This paper focusing on the experimental analysis of rectangular and circular microstrip patchantennas with and without radome (superstrate). The proposed antennas were designed at2.4GHz, using HFSS simulation software and fabricated on Arlon DiClad 880 substratewhose dielectric constant is 2.2, loss tangent is 0.0009 and thickness of the substrate is1.6mm. Placing different dielectric constant of the superstrates above the patch antennasperformance characteristics have been studied of both antennas on the basis …

Simple Gain Model of Group III-V Semiconductor-based Laser Diode
Abstract: In these days, a layer of low bandgap material is sandwiched between two high bandgap layers. Most commonly-used pair of materials is gallium arsenide (GaAs) with aluminium galliumarsenide (AlGaAs) and Indium Phosphide (InP) with Indium gallium arsenide phosphide(InGaAsP) laser. A heterostructure is the junctions between different bandgap materials. Here, two such junctions are present, hence it is called the name "double heterostructure laser" orDH laser. The kind of laser diode may be …
