Temperature Characteristics of Semi-Transparent Photovoltaic Module in a ventilated double pane window system
Abstract: This work presents the analysis of surface temperature characteristics of Semi-Transparent Solar Photovoltaic (STSPV) module integrated double pane window systems. The four systems are investigated with three types of air ventilation arrangements and a non-ventilation provision. The whole building simulation software EnrgyPlus and WINDOW 7.3 have been used to generate and analyze the required data. The focal points of the analysis include reduction in SPV module temperature and maintenance of …

Design and Experimental Analysis of Steel Fibre Reinforced Concrete
Abstract: The concrete structure when exposed to elevated temperatures, shows the various compound changes in the substantial which prompts weakening of the construction. The principle objective of the review is to diminish the underlying component disappointment when presented to raised temperature, which thusly builds the departure time of the inhabitants during fire mishaps. Further, when the structures are presented to fire, there is the opportunities for the opposite finish of the …

Workability of Concrete Using Recycled PET Bottle Fiber Reinforced Concrete (PFRC)
Abstract: This article presents an experimental investigation of PolyEthylene Terephthalate (PET) fibrereinforced concrete. Fiber-reinforced concrete reflects the upcoming trend to apply crack-resistant concrete more effectively. For example, PolyEthylene Terephthalate (PET) is a polyester polymer obtained from recyclable bottles; it has been widely used in the production of fibers for obtaining products based on the cement with improved properties. Therefore, fibers with lengths of 10 mm, 15 mm and 20 mm and …

Paper Waste for Bricks Production Evaluation of Paper Waste as An Alternative Aggregate in Bricks Production
Abstract: This study focused on the use of paper waste to partially replace ordinary Portland cement for producing a new lightweight concrete, otherwise called papercrete. The objective was to evaluate its effect on some hardened properties of papercrete. A laboratory experiment was conducted where paper waste was added in varying proportions of 20%, 30% and 40% as partial replacement for cement. After combining with sand, cement and water, the mixture was …

Comparative Analysis of Ordinary Concrete and Bacterial Concrete
Abstract: In present study, we observe the cracking in concrete is one of the major problem in the concrete structures. It is a common problem in concrete structure and then we further study on the bacteria that heals the cracks of concrete structure or it can heal the crack itself. This technique is advanced and very effective for smart structures that will heals by itself. It will also enhance the properties …
