Efficacy of a Unani Formulation in Internal Hemorrhoids (Bawaseer-E-Ghaira)
Abstract: Haemorrhoids are one of the most common anorectal disorders encountered in the general population. Haemorrhoids are the most common (30‑40%) cause of lower GI bleeding in India. The present study has been designed to validate the effect of Unani formulation in the management of Bawaseer-e-ghaira (Internal haemorrhoids of Grade-I and II degree) on scientific parameters. The ingredients of Unani formulation are Bisfaij, Zarnabad, Rasaut, Muqil, Maghz tukhm Neem and Gulab. …

Effect of Jawarish Zarooni and Sharbat Buzoori in a Diagnosed Case of Nephrotic Syndrome
Abstract: Nephrotic syndrome is a manifestation of kidney disease involving the glomeruli, characterized by oedema, proteinuria, hyperlipidemia and low serum albumin. It may be caused by primary kidney disease such as focal segmental glomerulosclerosis, and mutations in the podocin gene (shown in familial and sporadic forms of steroid-resistant nephrotic syndrome). A study by Michael B. Rothenberg and Walter Heymann M. showed 5-year survey of the incidence of the nephrotic syndrome in …

3D-Finite Element Analysis of External Fixation in Radial Shaft Fractures
Abstract: Background: Small external fixators are used mainly for fractures of the distal radius and forearm as well as for fractures in children and adolescents. The aim of this study was to evaluate biomechanical properties of external fixation in radial shaft fractures under loads including AP (anterior-posterior) bending, torsion and axial compression. Method: Biomechanical analysis was performed using 3D geometrical and FEM (Finite Element Method) models of the radial shaft fractures …
