Estimation of Dose Distribution in Patient Undergoing Hysterosalpingography Fluoroscopy-Guided Medical Procedure
Abstract: Real time imaging allows a wide range of exposure than the conventional radiography for producing diagnostic images. Hysterosalpingography (HSG) is an effective method of evaluating abnormalities of the uterus and fallopian tube using real-time fluoroscopic procedure. The main purpose of this study was to assess the possible radiation dose deposited into different organs of female patients undergoing HSG during the reproductive period. The study was conducted at radiology department of …

Short Report on the Microfluidic Flow in Gradual Expansion Microchannel Fabricated by Nano-imprint Lithography towards the Probable Applications in Nanofluidics
Abstract: In this experimental work, a single gradual expansion microchannel is fabricated by polymethylmethacrylate (PMMA) using the maskless lithography, nano-imprint lithography and direct bonding technique. In this research paper, examples of contact lithography and non-contact lithography are mentioned. Dyed ethanol is prepared as working liquid. Surface-driven capillary flow of dyed ethanol is recorded by a CMOS camera. This work is a real-life demonstration of microfluidic flow after the fabrication of microchannel …

High Power Nd: YAG Laser Treatment of Zirconium Silicate Surface
Abstract: The surface modification obtained by laser beam irradiation requires a proper relationship among the laser beam parameters, to assure the irradiated surface morphology and physical chemistry properties surface. In this study, the photothermal effect of high power Nd: YAG laser at 1064 nm wavelength for different durations on the surface properties of zirconium silicate (ZrSiO4) ceramics was investigated. Specimens of zirconium silicate (ZrSiO4) ceramic pieces were divided into four samples …

Short Review on the Integration between Nanofluidics and Nanoelectromechanical Systems with an Experimental Demonstration on Microfluidics
Abstract: In this short review, a brief idea is provided about the integration between nanofluidics and Nanoelectromechanical systems. Establishments of nanofluidic features are necessary to fabricate the fluidic microelectromechanical systems (MEMS) and fluidic Nanoelectromechanical systems (NEMS). Also, an experimental demonstration is provided on microfluidic flow phenomenon after fabrication of polymethylmethacrylate (PMMA) based microchannel bend. Dyed ethylene glycol is prepared as working liquid. Effect of centrifugal force on surface-driven microfluidic flow of …

Ab Initio and Density Functional Theory Studies on D-Serine
Abstract: The Hartee-Fock and density functional method (B3LYP) with 6–311++G (d, p) basis set were employed to study the structural and spectroscopic properties of amino acid D-serine in ground state. The structural and vibrational parameters of amino acid D-serine were obtained using optimised conformer. Using Vibrational Energy Distribution Analysis (VEDA) 4 program and theoretically obtained FTIR and FT-Raman data complete assignment of vibrations and analysis of fundamental modes of the compound …
