Anti-Ulcer Activity of Methanolic Extract of Mucuna Pruriens Seed on Indomethacin Induced Ulcers in Albino Rats
Abstract: The present study was intended to investigate and evaluate the antiulcer activity of the methanol seed extract of Mucuna pruriens using indomethacin induced ulcer in albino rats and to determine its link between oxidant or antioxidant parameter. The extract of Mucuna pruriens was tested on indomethacin induced gastric ulcer in albino rats. The antiulcer activity of high dose (400 mg/kg) and low dose (200 mg/kg) of ethanolic extract of Mucuna …

Factors Associated with Recurrence of Diabetes Mellitus in Bangladeshi Patients: A Cox Proportional Hazard Modeling Approach
Abstract: Diabetes Mellitus (DM) is a global health problem and increasing day by day all over the world, especially in Asian countries like Bangladesh. It is one of the most challenging public problems of the 21st century in Bangladesh. So in this study, we investigated the recurrence of diabetes among diabetes mellitus patients in Bangladesh through Cox Proportional hazard models. In this study, 43320 follow-up visits of 2934 patients at BIRDEM …

Green Synthesis of Silver Nanoparticles Using The Leaf Extract of Micrococca mercurialis. (L.) Benth. and Its Antibacterial Activity
Abstract: In the present study, fresh and powder leaf extracts of Micrococca mercurialis. (L.) Benth. were used for green synthesis of metallic silver nanoparticles (SNPs). The efficacy of SNPs was tested against some human and animal pathogens. Stable SNPs were formed after adding aqueous solution of 1 mM AgNO3 with the fresh and powder leaf extracts. Quantitative analysis of green synthesized SNP was monitored by UV-visible spectroscopy. Bacteriological tests were performed …

Dietary Influence of Selected Botanical Additives on Growth, Body Coloration and Carcass Composition of Juvenile Yellow Morph, Labidochromis caeruleus
Abstract: The authors evaluated the effect of four botanical additives (Hibiscus rosa-sinencies, Chrysanthemum indicum, Thespesia populnea and Tagetes erectes) on growth, body coloration and carcass composition of an ornamental cichlid yellow morph Lebidochromis caeruleus. The xanthophilic sources were added to the supplementary diets at 5, 7.5, 10, 12.5 and 15% levels along with a control diet without xanthophilic sources. Among the four xanthophilic sources tested, highly pronounced body coloration of fishes …
