Cytological Studies on Paeonia emodi Wall. ex Royle: An Important Medicinal and Ornamental Plant of Kashmir Himalaya
Abstract: Paeonia emodi, an endangered species, was examined for pollen mother cell (PMC) meiosis from both wild and transplanted populations. Buds of suitable size were collected from all the three study sites and fixed in ethanol:acetic acid (1:3) for 24 h and stored in 70% alcohol under refrigeration. Amentoflavone and Mangiferin in Hypericum calycinum, Hypericum cardiophyllum and Hypericum bithynicum
Abstract: The present study was conducted out to determine amentoflavone and mangiferin contents of Hypericum calycinum, Hypericum cardiophyllum and Hypericum bithynicum, growing wild in Turkey. The aerial parts representing a total of 30 individuals were collected at full flowering, dried at room temperature and assayed for secondary metabolite concentrations by HPLC-PDA. In vitro Responses of Indigofera tinctoria Linn. (Neela Amari)
Abstract: Indigofera tinctoria is an important medicinal plant of South and South-East Asia. These plants showed a low germination rate and scanty rooting of seedlings in conventional propagation. The tender leaves showed callus formation in MS medium with single auxin [Naphthalene Acetic Acid (NAA); 2, 4 Dichloro phenoxy Acetic acid (2, 4-D)].
