Formulation and Evaluation of a Polyherbal Lip Scrub Containing Beetroot, Licorice, and Aloe Vera
Abstract: The current research is aimed at developing and assessing a polyherbal lip scrub which contains beetroot extract, licorice extract and aloe vera gel to enhance better exfoliation, nutritional and depigmentation. The fusion method was applied to the herbal extract formulations by varying systematically the concentration of the herbal extracts to develop the 4 formulations (F1-F4) each of 15 g. These prepared formulations were tested on their important physicochemical and functional …

Pharmacokinetics of Levothyroxine and Factors Influencing Its Therapeutic Efficacy in Hypothyroidism: A Comprehensive Review
Abstract: Levothyroxine (LT4) remains the standard therapy for hypothyroidism due to its effectiveness in restoring normal thyroid hormone levels and improving physiological functions. However, its pharmacokinetic profile exhibits considerable variability, which may influence therapeutic outcomes in clinical practice. This review aims to comprehensively evaluate the pharmacokinetics of levothyroxine, including its absorption, distribution, metabolism, and elimination, along with factors affecting its therapeutic efficacy. A structured literature search was conducted using electronic databases, …

Formulation and Evaluation of Herbal Anti-inflammatory oil using Tamarindus Indica oil, Vitex Negundo oil and Ipomoea batatas oil
Abstract: The formulation and evaluation of a herbal anti-inflammatory oil derived from the leaves of Tamarindus indica (Tamarind) Ipomoea batatas (Sweet potato) Vitex negundo (Nirgundi) aim to explore the therapeutic potential of these plants in managing pain and inflammation. Tamarind leaves are rich in flavonoids like quercetin, which primarily provide anti-inflammatory benefits by inhibiting pro-inflammatory cytokines, though their analgesic effects are moderate. Nirgundi leaves contain eugenol, known for its strong analgesic …

RP-HPLC Analytical Method Development and Validation for Quantitative Estimation of Metoclopramide Hydrochloride in Solid Oral Formulations
Abstract: RP-HPLC technique formulated for the numerical assessment of Metoclopramide Hydrochloride in tablet formulation has been confirmed for reliability. A C18 column facilitated the chromatographic separation using a mobile phase comprising 60:40 (v/v) potassium dihydrogen phosphate buffer: meth anol mixture. Such method was used to detect, where the retained time was 6.78 minutes and Metoclo pramide Hydrochloride produced a clear peaked at 273 nm. Results were in agreement with ICH Q2 …

Orally Dispersible Tablet of Mesalazine: Formulation and Evaluation
Abstract: Oral disintegrating tablets (ODTs) become increasingly more and more popular, particularly among elderly and paediatric patients who have difficulties with swallowing. The 5-aminosalicylic acid compound oral mesalazine, frequently referred to as mesalamine, is used to treat mild to severe ulcerative colitis and has a high percentage of success in causing and establishing response. Mesalazine has a topical therapeutic action at the location of the suffering colonic mucosa. The medication’s disadvantage …

Fabrication and Characterization of Diacerein Loaded Nanosponge for Topical Delivery
Abstract: Diacerein, an anti-inflammatory drug, which comes under BCS class II, commonly used in treatment of osteoarthritis has limited by its poor solubility and bioavailability when administered topically. This study aimed to develop and evaluate diacerein-loaded nanosponges gel using varying concentrations of ethyl cellulose and polyvinyl alcohol (PVA) to enhance its delivery. Nanosponges were prepared using an emulsion solvent evaporation technique, with different ratios of ethyl cellulose (0.05-0.250%) and PVA (0.2-0.3%). …

Analytical Technique Optimization and ICH-Directed Verification of a Reverse Phase HPLC Approach for Quantification of Bupropion Hydrochloride
Abstract: This method was developed for retention time, peak resolution and baseline response using Bupropion Hydrochloride under optimized conditions as validation. The method resulted in two well separated, well defined peaks, a minor peak at 7.5 minutes 12 mV and a main peak at 11.52 minutes 150 mV. At the same time, the baseline has remained stable during the chromatographic run and the fluctuations of noise are very small (0.5 ± …

A Thorough Analysis of Herbal and Synthetic Methods for Treating Peptic Ulcers
Abstract: Many people are afflicted with ulcers, a common gastrointestinal disorder. In essence, they are inflammatory lesions that form in the digestive tract's skin or mucous membrane lining. An imbalance between preventive and damaging factors—either from reduced mucosal defences or from increased aggressive elements—leads to ulcer development. Their development is influenced by a number of variables, including as stress, poor eating habits, and long-term pharmaceutical use. The word "peptic ulcers" refers …
