A Review of Current Challenges, Opportunities and Impacts of Nanotechnology on Environment
Abstract: Nanotechnology is serving to significantly improve, even change, numerous innovation and industry divisions: data innovation, vitality, natural science, medication, country security, sanitation, and transportation, among numerous others. The present nanotechnology saddles current advancement in science, material science and biotechnology to make novel materials that have remarkable properties in light of the fact that their structures are resolved on the nanometre scale. Almost five decades after Feynman’s talk, nanotechnology upgraded items …

Modification of Ashaka and Tango Bentonites with Tetraphenyl Phosphonium and Hexadecyl Pyridinium Bromides for Possible Use in Polymer-Clay Nanocomposite Preparation
Abstract: Bentonites from Ashaka (GA) and Tango (GT) of Gombe State, Nigeria were surface modified with Tetraphenyl phosphonium (TPP) and Hexadecyl pyridinium bromides (HDP) by cation exchange method for their possible use in Clay/polymer nanocomposite preparation. The surfaces of the modified products were characterized by means of spectroscopic, diffraction and scanning methods [Fourier-transformed infrared spectroscopy (FTIR), X-ray diffraction (XRD) and scanning electron microscopy (SEM)]. The basal spacing of the unmodified bentonite …

Perovskite-Silicon Thin Film Based Tandem Solar Cell
Abstract: A perovskite-microcrystalline silicon-based thin-film tandem solar cell was designed and investigated, where perovskite and microcrystalline cells used as top and bottom cells, respectively, for better and higher light absorption utilizing the very high open-circuit voltage. The study was carried out for simulation results of quantum efficiency and short circuit current based on different thicknesses of the top and bottom cell-intrinsic layer. A very good short circuit matched current has been …

Dielectric Behaviour of Nanosilver and Silver-CNT Hybrid Reinforced Nanocomposites
Abstract: The present study concerns study of the dielectric properties of Ag-CNT vis-à-vis Ag reinforced unsaturated polyester matrix composites. The Ag-CNT hybrid was prepared by mechanical milling. Variation of the dielectric properties has been attributed to the morphological features and the degree of dispersion of the fillers. It has been found that dispersion of Ag-CNT hybrid particle is beneficial for improvement of the dielectric properties.

Electrical Characteristics and Probable Applications of High Electron Mobility Transistors for Very Large Scale Integration Circuits in Microelectronics and Nanoelectronics Industry
Abstract: In our work, a maximum drain current of 556 mA is achieved by the simulated structures of double-heterojunction high electron mobility transistors (HEMTs) using the SILVACO-ATLAS physical simulator. According to the results, drain current is higher at shorter gate length. Also, drain current is higher at larger aluminium mole fraction. Further, drain current is higher at larger thickness of AlGaN barrier layer. Again, drain current is found as higher at …
