Biosynthesis, Characterization and Non-toxic Activity of Gold Nanoparticles using Geranium (Pelargonium graveolens L.) Leaf Extract
Abstract: Nanoparticles from various materials can be prepared by relatively simple methods. During the past few decades, a variety of different methods have been reported and reviewed for synthesizing gold colloids of monodisperse and uniform sized particles. In present investigation, a new method of one-pot biosynthesizing of gold nanoparticles (GNPs), using geranium leaves extract as a reductant and stabilizer is reported. GNPs were characterized by UV-visible spectroscopy; transmission electron microscopy, X-ray …

Magnetic Properties of (ZnS)n (n=1-12) Cluster Due to B, C, N and O Doping
Abstract: First principal calculations have been performed using Spin polarized Density Functional Theory (DFT) to study the magnetic properties of B, N, C and O doped (ZnS)n (n = 1 to 12) nanoclusters. All dopants were doped at S site in (ZnS)n clusters. The binding energy of (ZnS)n clusters decrease when doped with B, C and N atoms where as it increases with O doping. The electronic HOMO-LUMO gap of (ZnS)n …

Synthesis, Characterization and AC Conduction of Polyaniline Fibers
Abstract: The present paper aims to study the preparation of polyaniline fibers and characterize them. Polyaniline fibers were synthesized by chemical oxidation polymerization where ammonium persulfate [(NH4)2S2O8] was used as oxidant to oxidize aniline to polyaniline. The polyaniline fiber was characterized by XRD, FTIR, TEM and UV-Visible spectroscopy. The characteristic peaks in FTIR and UV-Visible spectra confirmed the expected structure of polymer as reported in the literature. Further, Transmission electron microscopy …

The Effect of Sonication Time on Alumina Nanofluids with Paradoxical Behavior
Abstract: Nanofluids can be considered to be the next-generation heat transfer fluids as they offer exciting new possibilities to enhance heat transfer performance compared to pure liquids. Heat transfer enhancement using nanofluids have been reported in literature pertinent to thermal conductivity under the static conditions, convective heat transfer and phase change heat transfer. Except for the studies from the first category where the nanofluids exhibited much higher thermal conductivities than those …

Fabrication of Nanocrystalline Fe2Mn2Ni2Zn2O11 at Different Calcination Temperatures and Its Analysis
Abstract: The superconducting nanocrystalline ceramic powder Fe2Mn2Ni2Zn2O11 was designed and fabricated by a high-temperature special furnace. In the area of ceramic superconductors, particle size is an important factor. Here the authors analyzed the particle size and strain of the nanocrystalline ceramic super conducting material. The sample was analyzed by X-ray Diffraction (XRD), particle size determination, SEM and EDX. The comparison of XRD results with JCPDS files confirmed the orthorhombic structure of …
