Deposition of Antimony Trioxide on the Composite Surface to Increase Its Flame Retardancy
Abstract: In the present work, the preparation method of antimony trioxide and its thermal properties were extracted, as well as identified the manufacturing method to form an insulation layer from this oxide as a thickness of the covering layer (2 mm), deposited on the composite material consisting of unsaturated polyester resin and glass fiber which acts as a paste and take for the material to the insulation and flame retardant oxide. …

Micro-Stream Jetting Effect of Acoustic Cavitation during Sono-Electroplating of Thin Films: A Morphological Note
Abstract: In this study, copper thin films were electroplated onto laboratory grade aluminum substrate in presence of ultrasound and were then subsequently characterized by scanning electron microscopy. The macroscopic appearance reveals that the surface of the films had micron sized crater like holes. An initial analysis may direct to conclude that the hydrogen evolution might have caused so. However, microscopic examination on hole morphology, the nature of the flow of materials …

Effect of Thickness in Electroluminescence Spectra on 2-5 Dialoxy-PPV (ROPPV) Films
Abstract: The optical properties and electroluminescence (EL) of ROPPV (2-5-dialoxy-PPV) films of various thicknesses have been studied. The thickness of ROPPV layer on glass slide was measured by Fizeau fringes interferometric technique which varied from 200 to 400 nm. The absorption spectra show that the absorption occurred only in ultraviolet region. Thick films show only one peak at 310 nm, whereas by decreasing the thickness, the peaks are obtained at lower …

Studies on Nanostructured Nickel Thin Film Coatings Deposited using Pulsed DC Magnetron Sputtering Process
Abstract: The purpose of this research work is to investigate the mechanical properties of nickel thin film. The nickel thin films were coated on glass substrate using pulse PDC power supply magnetron sputtering process in argon atmosphere. The effect of substrate temperature, effect of duty cycle and mechanical properties of nickel thinfilms has been presented in this paper. Coating deposited with substrate temperature at 250°C, had lower surface roughness (Ra<3 nm) …
