Three Techniques for DC Thevenin Resistance Using Pspice Simulation
Abstract: A time-domain method for certain types of excitations is proposed to determine Thevenin equivalent circuit for a circuit with resistors and dependent/independent sources. SPICE/Pspice model descriptions for resistors at constant temperature and dependent source are used. Instead of making the energy sources zero (as in frequency domain) the sources in time domain are described using model description cards available for time-domain current/voltage sources at the same time evaluating circuit for …

The Future is Smelling: Exploring the Potential of e-Nose
Abstract: The human sense of smell, a complex and often underestimated faculty, allows us to perceive the world through volatile organic compounds (VOCs). This ability to detect and differentiate between aromas, flavors, and even potential hazards has inspired the development of the electronic nose, or e-nose. More than just a novelty, e-noses are rapidly becoming sophisticated analytical tools with applications that span across numerous industries. By mimicking the biological processes of …

Review and Implementation of Superconducting Technology in Power System for Reduction of Transmission and Distribution Line Losses
Abstract: Superconducting technology has wide applications in superconducting generator, superconducting transmission lines and superconducting energy storage systems. Most of the studies undertaken conclude that although the application of superconducting material in power system did indeed lead to improved efficiencies, the capital cost and cooling energy requirement were too large and that it was not economically feasible to implement. But the major result in the following studies is that in the future, …

Design of Lead-Free Perovskite (CH3NH3SnX3, X=I) Solar Cell using SCAPS-1D
Abstract: Research on renewable energy conversion technology has accelerated due to the world's growing energy needs. Researchers from all over the world are interested in lead-based perovskite materials. These cells are being developed as a substitute for conventional solar cells (SCs) because they have the potential to increase solar energy conversion efficiency. Lead's advantageous electrical and optical characteristics make it a viable option for photovoltaic and optoelectronic applications. Lead's limited material …
