Direct Determination of the Frequency-Dependent Transmission Constants of Non-Uniform Two-Port Networks
Abstract: Due to space constraints and the expansion of electricity networks, transmission lines that cross close to one another are now commonplace. Power networks also commonly install higher operational voltage lines that share transmission corridors with lower voltage lines. Overhead transmission lines are the primary method for transmitting electrical energy across vast distances. This paper presents an efficient and direct technique for identifying the four frequency-dependent ABCD transmission constants of arbitrary …

Hydrogen Storage System for Household Installation
Abstract: In this work, we study domestic renewable energy installations using compressed gaseous hydrogen as a storage system. The article analyzes the suitability and feasibility of this installation type considering energy, technical, and security aspects. The proposed configuration represents an alternative to the classical storage energy system in batteries, reducing dependence on grid supply for a negative balance of self-power generation to energy consumption. The hydrogen storage system is valid for …

Strengthening Low Voltage Ride-Through in Wind Energy Systems: A Comparative Study of DVR and STATCOM
Abstract: This study looks at the various methods used to improve the low-voltage ride-through (LVRT) capabilities of wind turbine systems (WT) that are based on double-fed induction generators (DFIG). The Type-III WT machine, which is mostly based on DFIG, is instantly connected to the grid without the digital power interface, making the terminal voltage or reactive electricity output unmanageable. This is because the world utilizes between 20% and 25% of renewable …

Efficient Cell Balancing and Protection Schemes for Electric Vehicles
Abstract: Efficient cell balancing and protection are critical aspects of electric vehicle (EV) battery management systems, ensuring optimal performance, longevity, and safety. Cell balancing refers to the process of equalizing the charge levels of individual cells within a battery pack to maximize energy utilization and prevent overcharging or undercharging of any cell. This promotes uniform wear and extends the overall lifespan of the battery pack. In the context of EVs, where …
