Studies on Development of a Super Adsorbent Polymer for the Removal of Nitrogenous Waste Products from Urine Samples and in Intestinal Fluid Simulator
Abstract: Introduction: Colonic dialysis (CD) has been proposed as an appropriate candidate for excretion of electrolytes, nitrogen waste products and excessive fluid using gastrointestinal (GI) tract. Methods: The GI environment simulated in terms of concentrations of nitrogenous waste products, electrolytes, temperature and pressure. In addition, 24-hour urine samples were obtained from 10 healthy adult volunteers. Adsorbing capacity of Super Adsorbent Polymer (SAP) evaluated in GI tract simulating system and urine samples. …

Synthesis of Copper Nanoparticles using Alternanthera Sessilis Linn Leaf Aqueous Extract and their Characterization
Abstract: The current study describes the biogenesis of Cu NPs using an aqueous extract of the leaf of Alternanthera sessilisLinn. (A.S). recently, biological synthesis of nanoparticles has gained popularity due to the fact that it is eco-friendly, simple, cost-effective, non-hazardous, and extreme conditions. The aqueous extract of Alternanthera sessilisleaf contains enoughterpenoids, carbohydrates, and flavonoids to convert metal ions into metal and thus stabilize the resulting nanoparticles. The UV-visible spectrophotometer confirmed the …

Facile Fabrication and Characterization of Novel Sterculia Gum–graft-poly(n-isopropylacrylamide-co-acrylamide) Hydrogel for Efficient Removal of Cationic Dyes from Aqueous Solution
Abstract: Water is indispensable component of life. Contamination of water is a severe problem that affects human health, aquatic vegetation, and fauna. Aside from various effluents, a variety of cationic dyes generated by industrial effluents contributes significantly to water contamination. In this study, a sterculia gum graft-poly(n-isopropylacrylamide-co-acrylamide) hydrogel was made using a graft copolymerization technique with N,N′-methylene-bis-acrylamide as a crosslinker, ammonium persulphate as an initiator, and tetramethylethylenediamine as an accelerator to …

Synthesis and Characterization of Polymer Blend Electrolyte Based on Bio-degradable Polymers Doped with Ammonium Iodide
Abstract: A polymer blend of Polyvinylalchohol (PVA) and Polyvinylpyrrilodine (PVP) doped with ammonium iodide (NH4I) has been prepared by solution casting method to develop a new solid polymer electrolyte. The influence of NH4I on the structural, electrical characteristics of PVA/PVP blend was investigated utilizing XRD, FTIR and impedance spectroscopy techniques. Structural properties were studied by using the XRD technique and found that the pure polymer blend is in semi crystalline form, …

Dispersion Analysis of Polypyrrole and ZnO Nanocomposite Thin Film using SPR Techniques
Abstract: The dispersion analysis of any material is crucial for studying its structure and composition. The interaction of the structure of the material with electromagnetic energy is also determined by studying its dielectric or optical properties. For studying dielectric properties, optical approaches are favored over electrical techniques, and Surface Plasmon Resonance (SPR) is the most suited of all techniques. It is used as a result to investigate the optical and dielectric …

Enhancement in Surface Properties of Magnesium Alloy after Electroless Ternary Alloy Nano Composite Coating
Abstract: AZ91 Magnesium alloys have exceptional rigidity, low density, and electromagnetic protection properties, making them ideal for usage in numerous industrial components. But Magnesium alloys specially AZ91 have a significant disadvantage in terms of corrosion and hardness, which restricts their practical uses. One of the most recent ways for improving the corrosion and hardness of Mg alloys is electro-less nano-coating. This study investigates the hardness and corrosion properties of AZ91 Magnesium …
