Application of Bio-Nano Composite Photoelectric Material for the Therapeutic of Cardiac Disorder: An Integration of Bio-hybrid System
Abstract: For the treatment of fibrillation i.e. a cardiac disorder, wherein electrical currents are used as therapy. This disorder manifests chaotic and accelerated heart rhythm, preventing the pumping of blood to the rest the organism. In considering the remedy of this heart disease, in this study we devised therapeutics for the same through bio-nanocomposite photoelectric patches; by the application of direct immobilization of bacterial photosynthetic reaction center (RC) proteins on nanocrystalline …

Effect of Sintering Temperature on Dielectric Behavior of Y0.95Ca0.05MnO3 Manganites
Abstract: Ca-doped mixed valent Y0.95Ca0.05MnO3 (YCMO) manganites, synthesized using cost effective acetic acid based modified sol-gel method, sintered at various temperatures, exhibit a strong effect of sintering temperature on the structure, microstructure, dielectric and activation energy (Ea). Oxygen vacancies, located at the grain boundaries of the nanostructured YCMO samples, play an important role in governing the dielectric behavior. The peak behavior, observed in imaginary part of dielectric (εʹʹ vs. T) plots, …

Electrical Properties of Nanocrystalline CuxO Thin Films Prepared by r. f. Sputtering Method
Abstract: Normal 0 Nanocrystalline CuxO (0 < x < 1) thin films have been synthesized using r. f. sputtering method at different r. f. power in an atmosphere of O2 and Ar. The effect of varying r. f. power, oxygen partial pressure and film thickness during deposition on the crystal size and electrical properties of CuxO thin films have been studied. The films were characterized by X-ray diffraction (XRD), transmission electron …

Initiatives of Nanotechnology to Combat Diabetes Mellitus
Abstract: Diabetes is the single most important metabolic disease which can affect approximately every organ system in the body. It has been projected that 300 million individuals would be affected with diabetes by the year 2025. In India, it is estimated that presently 19.4 million individuals are affected by this deadly disease, which is likely to go up to 57.2 million by the year 2025. It is imperative that effective monitoring …
