Design of Ultra-Wide Band Slotted PIFA for Wireless Devices
Abstract: The design of an ultra-wideband planar inverted-F antenna (PIFA) is proposed for mobile phone applications in this paper. The different slots are introduced on radiating patch and ground plane. The volume of the radiating antenna is 40x40x3.5 mm3 which is small as compared to reported work. The ultra-wide bandwidth with acceptable return loss –6 dB is obtained from 4.6 to 30 GHz with good matching and radiation characteristics. Different performance …

N-Shape Dielectric Resonator Antenna for Wireless Communication
Abstract: A new compact dielectric resonator antenna (DRA) for ultra-wideband (UWB) is presented and studied. This antenna is designed on FR4 substrate with dielectric constant of and overall size of proposed DR antenna is 20×35 mm2. The dielectric resonator of N-shape is only of 5.12 mm thickness and has a very low permittivity constant (10.2). The simulated DR antenna operating from 4.4 to 11.7 GHz covers most of the existing wireless …

Overview of HVDC Power Transmission Technologies
Abstract: The demand for electricity has been growing very fast with a high impact on global environment conditions. The solution for this is grid access of large amounts of renewable energy resources. This makes the power system complex. A smart solution for this problem is the development of HVDC transmission systems. HVDC is well established and niche technology, which offers reliable long distance bulk energy transmission. There are two types of …

Study on Wireless Power Transmission using Microwave Technique: Principle and Applications
Abstract: In this paper, a review about the concept of wireless power transmission is presented. Wireless power transmission means, the power is transmitted in the form of microwaves from one place to another, in order to reduce losses during the transmission and distribution of electrical power; and also to deliver energy in location where conventional wires are expensive, inconvenient or impossible. This is also known as microwave power transmission. We present …

LNA-BPF for Receiver Applications in ISM Band
Abstract: A new approach of design and performance analysis of low-noise amplifier with band-pass filter at 2.45 GHz is proposed in this paper. High gain of 15.99 dB and noise of 1.024 dB is achieved at a frequency of 2.45 GHz. A low noise amplifier is used in receiver applications to amplify possibly very weak signals. LNA and BPF are placed in the front end of the receiver circuit so that …
