Abstract

In this article, novel antennas are investigated for WLAN (2.40–2.48 GHz) and WiMax lower band (2.495–2.695 GHz) applications. In this paper, two designs are proposed having the same patch length 29.4 mm, width 38 mm, dielectric constant 4.4 and substrate thickness of 1.6 mm. Simulated results of each proposed antenna such as bandwidth, return loss, VSWR and smith chart is presented. The proposed antennas are simulated with the help of IE3D simulation software. Keywords: Microstrip antenna, wide band, VSWR, bandwidthCite this Article Vineet Verma, Vinod Kumar Singh. Optimization of Microstrip Antenna for WLAN and WiMax Lower Band Applications.
