Predicting the Physical Property of Asphaltene Molecule using Fuzzy System
Abstract: Asphaltenes — the heaviest and most aromatic compounds of crude oil— have a strong tendency to aggregate in solution to form complex colloidal structures. They generally impede producing, transporting and refining of crude oil resources. An indepth knowledge of the physical behavior of asphaltenes is needed to mitigate these effects. Predicting the physical behavior of asphaltene such as density is complex and nonlinear as it is a complex molecular mixture …

Levels of Essential and Non-essential Metals in Garlic (Allium sativum L.) Samples Collected from Different Locations of East Gojjam Zone, Ethiopia
Abstract: User 14.00 The concentrations of essential metals (Na, K, Ca, Mg, Fe, Zn, Mn, Cu, Co and Ni) and non-essential metals (Cd and Pb) in garlic samples were determined using flame photometer for Na and K, and flame atomic absorption spectrometry (FAAS) for the rest of the metals. The samples were collected from four agricultural areas (Debre Markos, Dejen, Bichena and Debre Werk), East Gojjam Zone, Ethiopia. Wet digestion method …

A Computational Approach to Study Reversible Aging in SHRP AAA-1 Asphalt
Abstract: This study is carried out computationally at atomic scale to determine reversible modifications of a specific group of asphalt. The specific asphalt group is defined by Strategic Highway Research Program (SHRP) as AAA-1. The chemical structure of AAA-1 asphalt is modeled using representative molecules drawn by LAMMPS software. LAMMPS molecular dynamics code is employed here to perform atomistic simulations. Simulation outputs give acceptable values of physical, thermodynamic and structural changes …

Ionic Liquids: Environmentally Benign Solvent for Extractive Deep-desulfurization of Liquid Fuels
Abstract: Normal 0 false false false EN-IN X-NONE X-NONE MicrosoftInternetExplorer4 In order to obtain the ultra-low sulfur fuels, deep desulfurization of fuels has become a vital subject of environmental studies. Extraction desulfurization system is one of the most promising desulfurization processes. The aim of this study is to investigate the possible use of Ionic liquids as an extractant for the removal of dibenzothiophene. Ionic Liquids as green solvents have recently been …

Synthesis, Crystal Structure and Reactivity Study of N-Pyrrolyl-P, P-Diphenylphosphino Sulfide/Selenide Ligand
Abstract: 800x600 We report the synthesis and solid state structures of the N-pyrrolyl-P,P-diphenylphosphino sulfide and selenide of molecular formulae [C4H4NP(S)Ph2] (1) and [C4H4NP(Se)Ph2] (2) respectively. Compounds 1 and 2 were prepared by one pot reaction of pyrrole and [Ph2P(E)Cl] (E = S and Se) in the presence of NaH as base at ambient temperature. In the solid state structure established by single crystal X-ray diffraction analysis, phosphorus atom adopts a distorted …
