Automatic Headlight Level Detector
Abstract: This paper presents the work on the automatic headlight level detector system. The basic concept is to be able to devise a mechanism which automates the verification of headlight’s working, i.e., to check whether the headlight beam is able to cover the required angle. The paper presents the three major stages of the work: making the hardware which includes designing the circuit by soldering the components, and making the board …

Implementation of Sense Amplifier-based D Flip-Flop using 0.25 µm and 0.18 µm Technology
Abstract: The traditional flip-flops and latches suffer from the large delays and the race conditions. This paper describes a new approach to the D flip-flop design using the sense amplifier. The previous efforts in the same direction made at the 0.25 µm technology exhibit improvements in clock-to-output delay and power dissipation with respect to recently proposed high-speed flip-flops. The paper discusses the flip-flop at 0.18 µm technology. The output latch of …

Performance Evaluation of First and Second-order Incremental A/D Converters
Abstract: This paper presents the design of first and second-order incremental analog-to-digital converters (ADCs). The characteristics of converters are extremely wide from Giga samples to a few samples per second for bandwidth and resolution variation from a few bits to more than 20 bits. Delta sigma converters are most commonly used high-resolution A/D converters. In instrumentation and measurement applications, the continuous operation, the large offset and inaccurate gain of delta-sigma does …

Text-To-Speech (TTS) Conversion System for Gujarati Language
Abstract: Text-to-speech (TTS) conversion system enables user to enter text in Gujarati language and as an output it generates the equivalent sound. This type of system will be greatly useful for illiterate and vision-impaired people to hear and understand the content. TTS systems are still suffering from the problem of producing emotional speech like that of human being. Scientists are trying to give emotions and feelings to it. This shows that …

Effect of Partial Ground Plane on the Microstrip Patch Antenna Performance for Wireless Sensor Networks
Abstract: Wireless sensor networks have a number of tiny nodes. Each node has the ability to communicate with its neighbors. The communication range depends on the type of antenna used. This paper analyzes the performance of microstrip patch antenna which suppresses the surface waves from the edges of the ground-plane of the substrate. The microstrip patch antenna is designed using a substrate of dielectric constant εr = 2.2 and loss tangent …
