Flexure and vibration of thick beams using trigonometric shear deformation theory
Abstract: A trigonometric shear deformation theory is used for flexural analysis of thick beams, taking into account transverse shear deformation effect. The theory accounts for cosine distribution of transverse shear strain through the thickness of the beam. The governing differential equations and boundary conditions are obtained by using the principle of virtual work. Vibration of visco-elastic parallelogram plate with linearly thickness variations in both directions
Abstract: An analysis for free transverse vibrations of visco-elastic parallelogram plate whose thickness varies linearly in both directions is presented. Using the separation of variables method and Rayleigh-Ritz technique with a two-term deflection function, the governing differential equation has been solve for vibration of visco-elastic parallelogram plate.
