Numerical Study of a Turbulent Flow Past a Rotating Sphere
Abstract: To simulate the flow past various geometries using commercial codes has become a standard practice in last few years. In the present study, numerical computations have been done for the flow at high Reynolds number (Re) past a rotating sphere. The Reynolds number (Re) found to be such that it indicates that the flow is turbulent. The pressure contour, velocity vector and stream function contour has been plotted and analysed …

Static and Dynamic Analysis on 5-Blade Marine Propeller
Abstract: Ships and underwater vehicles like submarine and torpedoes use propeller for propulsion. In general, propellers are used as propulsions and they are also used to progress significant plunge to propel the vehicle at its operational speed and RPM. Much has been said and published on the development of the marine propeller from the time of antiquity to the present age, but there is more to be done. This paper describes …

Wind Tunnel Experiment on a Flying Bike Model
Abstract: In the upcoming years, a single type of vehicle may be used to achieve various mission objectives. Therefore, the vehicles are manufactured so that they have variable configuration for the required mission profile. Here we are talking about the changes in the overall geometry of the vehicle and therefore we are dealing the aerodynamic characteristics of the vehicle. Since these types of vehicles are exposed to different flight regimes, the …

Comparison of Aircraft System using Fuzzy Logic Control and Traditional Control Scheme
Abstract: Sinusoidal current control (SCC) strategy is used for hauling out reference currents. This technique has been reviewed for More Electric Aircraft (MEA) system. Further, SCC strategy’s compensation capability has been compared with the system optimized using FLC. The basis for comparison is Harmonic distortion and compensation time. Result based on MATLAB Simulink will prove the effectivity of the control strategy for SAF in the MEA system. Keywords: More electric aircraft system …
