Utilization of Construction Chemicals: Need of Concrete Manufacturing
Abstract: Chemical industry is a boon for recent advancement in various fields of engineering, especially civil engineering. Chemicals are playing vital role in construction field focusing. Construction is a complex combination of physical and chemical actions. Physical aspect takes care of aesthetics and exterior appearance while chemical aspect deals with life and performance of the constructed structure. Accordingly, chemistry cannot be separated from any construction activity. Concrete is one of those …

Preservation of Cysteine Protease Activity in Oleoresin Extracts of Traditional Spices Aided by Modelling and HPLC Studies
Abstract: In the present study, Zingiber officinale, Allium sativum and Phyllanthus emblica were pretreated with sodium ascorbate and dried using electric tray drier at 65°C. Six different models were applied to the drying experimental data and the best fit model for each sample was determined. The dried samples were then used for the extraction of oleoresin, followed by HPLC analysis. The study elucidates the advantage of sodium ascorbate pretreatment, drying treatment …

Implications from Mesomaterials: Recent Trend
Abstract: Mesomaterials are materials of larger surface area, specific pore volume, more active chemical sites and high chemical stability. Mesoporous materials are used for molecular filtration and separation by adsorption of chemicals. Mesomaterials remove pollutant, toxic, and carcinogenic compounds from medium by interfacial adsorption-physisorption-chemisorption process. Molecular filtration on other hand is studied from categories produced by nano-maso-composed forms like silanol. Adsorption heat pump is operated by waste heat of solar energy. …

Production of Particle Board from Cotton Stalk
Abstract: The cotton stalks are normally disposed of by burning, which contributes to the emission of harmful greenhouse gases which pollute the environment. This study used cotton stalk for the production of particle board. The study includes collection and preparation of cotton stalk, analyzing using the ASTM method and its morphological structure, determination of proximity and chemical compositions to compare with hardwood characteristics and production of cotton stalk particle board (CSPB) …

Implications from Molybdenum: Emerging Trend
Abstract: Molybdenum (Mo) is refractory metal to subject high tensile and creep strength, high resistance to heat and corrosion, good thermal diffusivity and satisfactory welding properties. Addition of alloy ingredients lying as Ti, Zr, Si, B, C produce extra additive property evolution to adhere more in accord applicability at high temperature structural items. Fabrication of homogeneous alloy has prepared more adhering to and by powder processing. Extra-in-diffuse thermal involved shock and …
