A Study on the Uses and Conservation of Traditional Fruit Trees in Uttarakhand: Their Ethnobotanical and Nutritional Significance
Abstract: Uttarakhand, a mountainous state in India, is home to a rich diversity of traditional fruit trees, characterized by their significant ethnobotanical and nutritional value. These fruits, cultivated in temperate and subtropical conditions, are integral to the livelihoods of rural populations, offering food security and economic opportunities. This study explores the distribution, morphological traits, and ethnobotanical uses of traditional fruits like kafal (Myrica esculenta), hisalu (Rubus ellipticus), and timil (Ficus auriculata). …

Biomedical Applications of Green-Synthesized Cobalt Oxide Nanoparticles
Abstract: The biomedical potential of cobalt oxide nanoparticles (Co3O4 NPs) synthesized via green methods is gaining recognition due to their biocompatibility and multifunctionality. This article reviews the antibacterial and anticancer properties of Co3O4 NPs synthesized using Delonix regia leaf extract. Characterization techniques confirmed their nanoscale size and uniform morphology. The antibacterial assay against Escherichia coli revealed significant activity, attributed to enhanced permeability and interaction with bacterial membranes. These findings highlight the …

Experimental Evaluations of the Tensile and Impact Characteristics of Polypropylene Composites Reinforced with Hybrid Fibers
Abstract: In marine engineering design, polymeric composites reinforced with natural fibers are frequently used. Through hybridization, natural fiber plastic composites' mechanical properties can be improved. Assessing the performance of recycled newspaper fiber (rNF) and rNF/glass fiber (GF) hybrid polypropylene composites is the aim of the current experiment. Using maleic anhydride (MA) as a coupling agent, the effects of GF loading on the impact strength and tensile behavior of composite materials with …

Innovative Biogas Strategies: Anaerobic Co-Digestion of Livestock Waste
Abstract: The goal of the study is to determine whether anaerobic co-digestion of cow dung can be used to produce biogas and whether adding sodium and calcium alginate directly to natural lagoon sediment can reduce sulphide concentrations. It was observed that one minute of focus Sodium and calcium alginate were added at the start of the anaerobic digestion cycle, which indicates a propensity to lower the system's hydrogen sulfide concentration and …

Performance Evaluation of Eichhornia crassipes and Pista Stratiotes for Treatment of Aquaculture Wastewater
Abstract: The significance of wastewater management and disposal in aquaculture is growing steadily as a result of strict water regulations pertaining to the release of waste into natural water systems. The conventional methods are expensive to manage and thus, it is not sustainable especially in the developing countries. Therefore, the objective of this research is to utilize Eichhornia crassipes (Water hyacinth) and Pistia stratiotes (Water lettuce) in phytoremediation techniques as an …
