A comprehensive review on Sustainable Pathways to Synthesize 2, 5-Furandicarboxylic Acid (FDCA) from 5-Hydroxymethylfurfural (HMF) via Oxidative Processes
Abstract: The increasing global concern over the environmental impact of traditional plastics derived from petroleum and natural gas has spurred a search for more sustainable alternatives. Bioplastics, which are derived from renewable sources and may be biodegradable, have garnered significant interest as eco-friendly materials. Among the promising building blocks for bioplastics, 2,5-Furandicarboxylic Acid (FDCA) has emerged due to its potential to enhance polymer properties. One key precursor for bioplastics, 5-Hydroxymethylfurfural (5-HMF), …

Electrooxidation of Methylene Blue over nanoparticle coated DSA synthesized by sol-gel method
Abstract: The current study uses the sol-gel approach to synthesize a new Dimensionally Stable Anode (DSA) covered with nanoparticles. The objective is to enhance the electrocatalytic activity and overall performance of the anodes in treating synthetic industrial wastewater containing reactive dyes. CuO and TiO2 nanoparticles are coated using a thermal decomposition technique on a titanium electrode. The DSA surface gains more surface area and better catalytic capabilities when nanoparticles are coated …

Optimisation of Biodiesel synthesis process from various edible oils using KOH and NaOH as homogeneous catalysts
Abstract: In the present experimental study, an optimization of biodiesel production from different kinds of edible oils (Palm oil, Cotton-seed oil and Sunflower oil) using KOH & NaOH as homogenous catalyst has been investigated by one step transesterification method. The research study was conducted into two parts. In the first experimental study, different types of edible oils (Sunflower oil, Cottonseed oil and Palm oil) have been optimised using KOH and NaOH …
