These days Semiconductor Optical Amplifier (SOA) is gaining popularity because of the versatile factor associated with it. It can be used as a gain unit, a modulator, wavelength converter, etc. But before using SOA, the change in gain of SOA with variation in current, wavelength and power should be known. In this paper, these three variations are studied and implemented using Opti System 7 software.
