Abstract

Data acquisition and supervisory management system utilizing a programmable logic controller. PLC, SCADA, and sensors are used in the design and development of a boiler automation system. Using communication wires, the PLC and SCADA were connected. The paper's introductory section focuses on supplying the boiler with inputs at the necessary temperature to consistently maintain a specific boiler temperature. the numerous steps needed to transition from a traditionally controlled boiler to a fully automated boiler. In a more globalized society, there is a growing desire for automated, high-quality devices that are also more efficient. The automation is further improved by continuous boiler monitoring utilizing a SCADA screen that is connected to the PLC through a communication connection. The development of a SCADA system, which monitors the plant and aids in reducing human error, is necessary to automate a power plant and minimize human involvement. In this project, the boiler's parameters, including temperature, pressure, flow, and level, are monitored using a SCADA system. Instruments are used to keep track of the parameter, and a PLC and SCADA system are used to process and manage the observed signals. The signals are compared to the parameter's reference parameter, and the corresponding valves are modified using the monitoring and logic control system. Different automatic check valves are used in emergencies to release pressure and steam and to alert the appropriate authorities via alarm. Both RS Logics 500 and RS View 32 are used to create the boiler automation ladder diagram.
